A police constable was beaten to death and a sub inspector badly injured in a village in Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj. The cops were taken hostage and thrashed by criminals at Nagla Dhimar village on Tuesday evening. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered action, including invoking National Security Act, against the accused. Police informed that the two had gone to serve a warrant to liquor mafia kingpin, Moti. Constable Devendra was killed while sub inspector Ashok Kumar was found badly injured. Kasgunj District Magistrate, CP Singh said, “In an unfortunate incident in Nagla Dhimar village, constable Devendra lost his life. CM Yogi took cognisance of the matter and has ordered strict action against culprits. CM Yogi has announced an ex-gratia of ₹50 lakhs and a job to a family member of the deceased,” reports Hindustan Times.
In the alleged police encounter of the full-blown tragedy that took place late Tuesday evening in Kasganj district of Uttar Pradesh, the other accused are still absconding. The encounter has been confirmed by ADG Ajay Anand. Both are accused brothers. Out of which Alkar is killed by the police in an encounter. The second accused Moti is absconding.
The accused Alkar was killed in an encounter by the police within a span of 12 hours after the killing of the constable in Kasganj and wounding the constable. Alkar was the brother of the chief accused Moti. Three cases have been registered against Alkar and 11 cases against Moti in Sidhpura police station already. A report was lodged against both the nominees and other unidentified people late on Tuesday.
On Tuesday evening, in the village Nagla Bangar in Kasganj district, Daroga Ashok Pal and constable Devendra went to notice the attachment of liquor mafia pearl. There the Mafia held the two hostage and beaten and killed the soldier while seriously injuring the inspector. Since the incident, ADG Ajay Anand, IG Piyush Mordia have been camping in Kasganj.
This was the way the incident took place

Gautam Pal Gautam, CO of Patiali, reached the spot with the police force. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, several police stations of the district were called. Police found hostages in both the fields. The soldier died until he was brought to the hospital, while the constable’s condition remains critical.
Daroga was found away from Soldier
Police found Daroga at a farm, apart from his bike, another Bajaj Platina bike has also been found. The uniform of the inspector was also lying nearby. About half an hour later the soldier was found in a critical condition in a wheat field. Police have found the liquor furnace scattered here.
