Locals said a lecturer among two youth died in Kulgam village in South Kashmir last evening after suffering a massive cardiac arrest.
According to the Kashmir-based news agency Kashmir News Observer, a 37-year-old man from Dadipora passed out at his home last evening and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Locals said he worked as a lecturer at GHSS Qaimoh.
They claimed that after hearing the news of the lecturer’s death, a Class 9th student in his neighbourhood suffered a massive cardiac arrest and died on the spot.
Mysar Maqbool (37) and Sameer Ahmad Wani (14), both from Dadipora, Kulgam, were identified as the deceased.
The deaths of two young people cast a pall over the entire village.
Meanwhile, sources said a girl from the nearby village of Zadipura suffered a minor heart attack and was rushed to Srinagar for treatment, adding that her condition is stable.
