Dubai creates fake rain using drones to beat 50-degree heat

Dubai, like India, the United States, and Canada, is experiencing extreme heat, with temperatures reaching 50 degrees Celsius at times.

The National Center of Meteorology of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) devised a solution to combat the heat that resulted in monsoon-like rainfall in the desert country. According to reports, the enhanced rain is created using cloud seeding, a drone technology.

This technology generates electrical charges that cause clouds to coalesce and produce water, which is used to improve precipitation. The average annual precipitation in the country is only 100 mm.

According to experts, the technology aims to make rain more efficiently within clouds while also causing more water to fall. They claim that cloud seeding techniques can help with the water shortage.

The National Center of Meteorology’s official Twitter account posted a video of the downpour. Rain pours down on a highway as the cars drive through it in the video.
