In the continuing war against drugs and illicit liquor, Doda Police said that during naka checking at Karara Police Post, one person, namely Pinku Bhagat S/O Chaman Lal R/O Drown Kerani (Bhella) Doda, was found carrying a bag in a suspecious condition. The said accused was immediately apprehended and, during his search, 60 bottles of Whisky, 250 ml each, a total of 15 litres of wine, were recovered from his possession. During questioning, the accusedwas found involved in illegally carrying and selling consignments of wine in general areas of Prem Nagar and Karara.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 18/2022, U/S 48 (A) of the Excise Act, has been registered at Police Station Thathri against the above-named accused and an investigation has been taken up.
