A reception event was organised by the Department of Urdu PG Degree College Bhaderwah Sem III for the new comers in Sem I in post-graduation Urdu.
According to a press release issued to The Chenab Times, Department of Urdu Government PG College Bhaderwah students of PG Urdu Semester III organized a reception for first-year students.
The main objective of this event was to introduce newcomers to the students and also to make them aware of the importance and usefulness of the Urdu language and literature. Language is an effective means of social action and expression of human thoughts. It clarifies and separates man from other living beings. The charm and colorfulness of life is due to language. Therefore, people of every region have an emotional attachment to their language, “it reads.
It further states that the breadth and international status of the Urdu language can be gauged from the fact that Urdu is spoken and understood throughout the subcontinent. Furthermore, they elaborated on how this language will create possibilities for them in different fields of life.
The program was presided over by Dr. Javed Iqbal Shah HOD Department of Urdu, while Prof. Kuldeep Kumar Sharma, Principal, Government Degree College, Bhaderwah graced the occasion as the special guest. Apart from this, other teachers of Urdu Department, Dr. Sanjay Kumar (S), Dr. Sanjay Kumar (J), Dr. Taseer Nawaz Mir, Dr. Ajaz Ahmed, Dr. Haseeb Iqbal Qazi, Dr. Riaz Ahmed from Arabic Department and Prof. Mushtaq Ahmed from Persian Department were present in the program.
