DDC Doda tours Thathri; Visits GDC, Schools, Public library; Holds public outreach camp

In order to have first hand appraisal of public grievances and issues, the DDC Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan, today held extensive tour of Thathri Sub Division wherein the DDC visited Government Degree College Thathri, National Academy (HSS), Ex Serviceman Public Higher Secondary School, Govt Tehsil Library, interacted with PRI members, public representatives, shopkeepers, traders and other stakeholders. He listened to the issues pertaining to their areas. He inspected the ongoing work of Bus Stand Thathri also. Besides, he reviewed implementation of developmental schemes in the sub division.

During the redressal camp various issues were highlighted by the public representatives being faced by the local inhabitants on daily basis causing inconvenience to them which includes; Start of Govt Degree College Thathri building construction, Segregation/ separation of Jal Shakti and JPDCL Sub Division from Kishtwar district, Bank Branch for Phagsoo tehsil headquarter, Traffic congestion and parking issue in the main market, Shortage of staff in GHSS Nagni and other schools and health institutions, Upgradation and blacktopping on roads, Tourism infrastructure for Jantrondhar and other areas, Repair of Jungalwar pipeline, Pending Land compensations, Pending Material payment under MGNREGA, Pending 14th FC payments and IWMP pending payments etc.

SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom during his interaction with students desired from the students to imbibe the habits of healthy lifestyle and keep themselves away from drugs and other anti national and anti social activities.

DDC while interacting with students urged them to come up with innovative ideas on all the local issues including startups and economic activities/ development. He informed the youth that they can place their innovative ideas on official website of the district, to help administration in making life in the area more convenient.

He wanted the youth to become ambassadors of peace, communal harmony and warriers against drugs menace.

DDC while replying to the queries and concerns of the PRIs/ public said that their genuine demands have been noted and shall be taken due care by the concerned departments. He informed the public that construction of Govt Degree College Thathri building shall be started soon as the SDM has ensured to resolve all issues impeding its construction. He further informed that Nandni Mahri village shall be electrified for the first time in the history before 15th of November this year.

DDC instructed officers and officials to ensure that all their subordinate officials must remain present in the offices for the general public and time bond public grievances redressal.

He paid obeisance at Lakshami Narayan Mandri and visited Jama Masjid Thathri where he interacted with students of local maktab.

Among others accompanied the DDC during the visit were SSP Doda, SE PMGSY, SE PWD, SDM Thathri, ACD Doda, ACP Doda, CEO, DIO DIPR, DSWO, ARTO, CHO, CAO, CAHO, DSHO, Dy CMO, DYSSO, AD FCS & CA, DEPO Doda, Incharge Librarian Thathri, District Manager KVIB, CDPO Thathri, Ex Ens, and other district and sectoral officers of the District Administration and Sub division.
