Multiple-Vehicle Collision Claims Lives of Three, Including Traffic Cop, in Srinagar’s Maloora Area

In a tragic incident in the Maloora area of Shalteng in central Kashmir’s Srinagar locality, a collision involving multiple vehicles has resulted in the loss of three lives, including that of a dedicated traffic cop. The mishap occurred near the Petrol Pump in Maloora, causing injuries to several others, according to official sources.

The vehicles involved in the crash were identified as a three-wheeler (Auto), a tipper, and a Maruti Car. The impact of the collision proved fatal for three individuals, while several others sustained varying degrees of injuries.

One of the deceased victims has been identified as Zahoor Ashraf, a traffic cop hailing from Pattan in Baramulla district. Zahoor Ashraf had been diligently serving his duty to ensure the smooth flow of traffic in the area.

A senior police officer, confirming the incident, stated that the authorities have taken immediate cognizance of the tragic event. The crash has sparked an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the collision and identify any potential contributing factors.
