Three people from Doda district died in a tragic accident on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Udhampur district today.
According to reports, the accident occurred near the Gurnai area when a motorcycle collided with a truck. A police team led by Station House Officer (SHO) Rehambal rushed to the scene upon receiving reports of the accident.
The three critically injured individuals were transported to the Associated Hospital Government Medical College Udhampur. Unfortunately, two of them were declared dead on arrival by the attending doctors. The third person, who was in critical condition, was transferred to Government Medical College Jammu for further treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries while en route.
The deceased have been identified as Shahzad Hussain (son of Abdul Aziz) from Chaniyas, Doda, Mubashir Hussain (son of Ghulam Mohammad) from Gundna, Doda, and Vimal Kumar (son of Ramnath) from Mulla Tehsil Thathri, Doda.
The police have registered a case and are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
