Zakir Butt Zonal President JKTF Thathri demanded separate Education Zone for Chirala Block. In his press statement Zakir Butt said,
Education Zone Thathri comprises of four Tehsils viz. Thathri, Phagsoo, Bhella and Chirala. It has two Rural Development Blocks Chirala Block and Thathri Block. It is devided into two Assembly constituencies i.e. Inderwal and Bhadharwah.

He said that this Zone lies in the tough mountainous region of Himalyas. The Zone has very vast area. It has more than 120 government schools including 6 Higher Secondaries, and 9 High Schools. The Zone has also arround 60 private Schools. Having such a huge burden on single ZEO Office both the students as well as teachers suffer badly particularly the teachers of Chirala block. He added that Chirala is arround 50 Km away from ZEO Office Thathri. Having tough topography and being away from the zonal headquarter the area has always lacked proper supervision and monitoring besides a lot of time of the teachers is wasted for their official works ZEO office, which ultimately effects the Education of the poor students. He said that Sometimes the teachers are compelled to stay in hotels in Thathri for two to three days when their official work is not completed in time. It is not possible for daily updown due to lack of proper transport management from Thathri to Chirala. The teachers have to bear heavy expenditure for transportation as well as for night stays in hotels. Visiting ZEO Office becomes physical, mental and economic harassment for the teachers of Chirala region. He further said that if Chirala is given the separate Education Zone it will give a sigh of relief to both the Teachers and student of this region, besides will reduce the burden on ZEO office Thathri. It will also boost the Education of both the regions of the current Education Zone Thathri. He said that this step will also increase the employment opportunities for the youth of Chirala block both in private and public sector. The bifurcation of the Zone Thathri will also place both the Zones into their respective political, economic, social and cultural spheres.

Keeping in view the above captioned facts Zakir Butt said that Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum Thathri appeals the government of JKUT especially Leftinent Governor and Principal secretary Education Dr Asgar Samoon to ponder into this long pending demand and bifurcate the Education Zone Thathri into two Zones viz. Thathri and Chirala. Zakir Butt said said that JKTF has always stood for the teachers as well as the students welfare that is why we demand separate Education Zone Chiralla.
