Thathri: Locals worried after rumours of NH244 four-way construction damaging houses surfaced
A public resolution was submitted by the locals of Thathri in which they demanded construction of NH244 four-way from circular road in the town along with the bank of Chenab towards Kuddan hamlet, which is about 2 kilometres in distance.
The resolution came into force after the rumours of survey for constructing NH244 four-way was supposed to be constructed between the town and damaging the buildings and another rumour was construction through the Bugh village and destroying the village.
Meanwhile, the locals gathered in SDM Office Thathri and a resolution which was curated by senior PDP Leader Abdul Majid Butt and some other locals submitted by the locals and it was signed by the locals, various political and non-political leaders. The resolution was copied to LG Gov. and other concerned officials.
It is pertinent to mention, various political parties’ leaders including senior Congress leader Asgar Hussain Khanday, BJP Leader Subash Kumar, senior citizen Jalal Din alias Taskeen Badanvi, Waseem Zargar, BDC Chairperson Muzaffar Hussain and others agreed this resolution which represents the construction of four-way flyover alongside of the river Chenab without damaging a single house.
The resolution subjected as “Submission of Public Resolution seeking Justice by Constructing link road along the bank side of river Chenab from Army camp Thathri to Kudan approx.2 km distance”.
