In continuation of the efforts to reach out to the Awaam and local villagers the Indian Army organised International Women’s Day at Government Higher Secondary School, Dehri Ralyote. 15 Sarpanches, 27 teachers, 21 local village women, 133 girls of Govt Higher Secondary School attended the programme. Army officers, students and school teachers delivered lectures and speeches on the topics “International Women’s Day”, “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”, “Women’s Safety” and “Women’s Empowerment”.

The lectures were well received by keen audience. On this occasion a bus stand constructed under ‘Operation Sadhbhavana’ by Army camp, Patrara, Galuthi, was also inaugurated by the lady Sarpanch of the Dehri Ralyote. It was a long standing demand and requirement of students of the area as well as local population.
Refreshments for guest and audience was also organized by Army. Civil dignitaries highly appreciated the efforts of Indian Army for winning over the hearts and minds of the local population and requested to conduct similar programme for development of the area in future also.
