A 35-year-old non-local labourer from Bihar, who was working as welder, died in Damhal Hanjipora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, officials said.
A police official told that a labourer identified as Mohammad Azad Alam, 35, son of Ghulam Mohiuddin of Bihar, who was working as welder at Bathipora, D H Pora complained severe chest pain on late night.
Soon after Alam was taken to District Hospital Kulgam, he was declared brought dead on arrival by the doctors, official said.
The official said that the body was brought to DH Kulgam for COVID-19 test following which the test result came negative.
“The body of the deceased will be handed over to his legal heirs after completion of all legal formalities,” he said.
