Authorities likely to give relaxations from 8 am to 12 noon on Tuesday for buying/selling of essentials ahead of Eid, say official sources
The government on Sunday extended Corona Curfew across Jammu and Kashmir till May 17 in all 20 districts while the gathering permissible for marriages has been reduced to 25 only.
In a tweet, Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) has announced extension in the existing restrictions across J&K in wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“Corona Curfew imposed in all 20 districts of J&K till 7 am on Monday, 10/5/21 is extended further by 7 days till 7 am on Monday, 17/5/21. The curfew will be strict except for a few essential services,” DIPR-J&K tweeted.
The tweet also stated that the gathering permissible for marriages has been reduced to 25 only.
“Further, the gathering permissible for marriages is reduced to 25 only w.e.f. today, 9/5/21,” DIPR-J&K tweeted. Pertinently, the Corona Curfew continued to remain in place since April 29 evening in order to prevent the virus from spreading.
Meanwhile, official sources told KNO that ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr, the government is likely to give relaxations from 8 am to 12 noon on Tuesday for buying/ selling of essentials under strict adherence of Covid-protocols. “The relaxations will be followed by proper Covid behavior and violators will be dealt with strictly,” he said.
