Ramban Police on Sunday claimed to have recovered 970 electric detonators (ED) at Ukhral area of Ramsoo.
A police spokesman said that at about 1530 hours, a reliable information was received at PP Ukhral that an unattended bag was lying in the mud with some explosive material in suspicious circumstances near the higher secondary school Ukhral.
“On this information, Inspector Rouf Ahmed Khan SHO PS Ramsoo along with IC PP Ukhral rushed towards the spot and found the bag lying in the mud near a nallah near Higher Secondary School Ukhral,” police said.
“During checking, 970 industrial grade electric detonators were found with proper packaging. A case under Fir number 44/2021 under section 120-B/IPC and 4/5/ explosive act was registered at Police Station Ramsoo and the investigation was set into motion,” police said.
