DPRs are being prepared for the expansion of the GMC Doda 1000 LPM oxygen generating facility, as well as the 500 LPM plants in Bhaderwah and Gandoh
GMC is in the process of installing a 750 LPM oxygen generation plant. The pipeline is being connected to the already built manifold, said Deputy Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma at a press conference at the DC office Doda.
While addressing media, the DC stated that a DPR for an extra 1000 LPM is being prepared for GMC Doda, as well as a DPR for the establishment of a 500 LPM Oxygen Generation Plant for the Bhaderwah and Gandoh areas.
He further claims that the positive rate in the entire district has decreased significantly in the month of May, with only 28 active cases being hospitalised and the remainder being placed under home isolation, and 703 people being successfully recovered alone in the current month of May.
Concerning the establishment of Covid Care Centres at the Panchayat level, the DC stated that 5 bedded facilities have been established in all 237 panchayats, covid medicine kits, including testing kits, have been mobilised, staff has been deputed, and grassroot level teams have also been constituted to supervise the functioning of the CC Centres.
In terms of testing, the DC stated that testing has increased significantly across the district, as a result of which a greater number of cases have been detected and treated by the health department in a timely manner. Additionally, distribution of medicine kits and teleconsultation are being monitored and ensured on a daily basis, and 60 percent of the targeted groups have been vaccinated.
The DC urged all those who fall into the targetted groups to get vaccinated as soon as possible, as well as urging individuals to observe Covid proper behaviour and to report any issues to the involved authorities through the control room, which will be open everytime 24×7.
