750 Litre Per Minute ( LPM) Oxygen Generation Plant has been successfully commissioned at Associated Hospital, GMC, Doda, which has already been notified as designated COVID hospital in the district, in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and to supplement the existing manifold oxygen supply of the hospital.
The Deputy Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma, speaking on the occasion, said that since the plant’s commissioning, the hospital has become self-sufficient in meeting medical oxygen needs. It will supplement and lessen the reliance on manual Oxygen Cylinders for patient supply.
He added that this OGP will be supplemented by a 1000 LPM plant for which the concerned authorities are preparing a DPR, and that DPRs for Oxygen Generation Plants for CHC Bhaderwah and Gandoh are also being prepared.
The DC, along with Principal GMC Doda Dr. Dinesh Kumar, inspected the newly installed Oxygen Generation Plant today and directed that the plant and its components be properly monitored, as well as the bed capacity for Covid-19 patients in the hospital, be increased.
MS Associated Hospital GMC Doda Dr Shabir Ahmad Patigaroo, SP Headquarters Doda Master Popsy, Nodal Officer for OGP Dr Walied K Balwan, Executive Engineer Mechanical Division Doda, and other officials from the health and mechanical engineering departments were among those present during the inspection.
