4 feared dead as many rescued as vehicle plunges into gorge in Ramban

A load carrier carrying labourers was involved in an accident near Khooni Nallah in Ramsu area of Ramban district on Wednesday morning, leaving at least four people dead and four others critically injured.

Officials told CT that in the early hours of today, a Srinagar bound TATA Mobile carrying Chhattisgarh labourers rolled off the highway and into a deep gorge near Khooni Nallah.

They said four people are believed to be dead, including a 2-year-old boy and two women, while four people have been rescued with critical wounds.

Ramban police, along with local QRT, SDRF, and Army, launched a rescue operation shortly after the incident, according to officials.
