On the night of Friday and Saturday, at least eight labourers were injured when the Tempo in which they were travelling turned turtle in the Margund area of Kangan in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
According to the news agency Kashmir News Observer, a Tempo was travelling from Sonamerg to Srinagar when it became stuck at Margund, injuring eight people.
The injured were rushed to Kangan sub-district hospital for treatment, where two of them were referred to Srinagar hospital for specialised treatment, according to him.
Ghulam Abass Nalvi (driver), Imtiaz Ahmad, Nawaz Ahmad, Tanveer Ahmed, Idrees Ahmed, Shakeel Ahmed, Mohammad Shafi, and Mohammad Iqbal—all Doda residents—were among the injured.
According to the official, police have opened an investigation into the matter.
