Doda: Lower Astan Mohalla in Jatheli suffers water crisis

There are registered consumers in Astan Mohalla Panchayat Jatheli Doda (particularly lower Astan) who are suffering from a lack of drinking water due to a lack of a proper supply line.

Astan Mohalla is made up of nearly 22 households who have access to water for only two days a week.

For the time being, connections at the tail end are completely dry five days a week.

“Kindly provide sufficient water supply from ‘Malla’ spring by restoring damaged supply lines or making any arrangements so that the public is served on a daily basis,” residents of the area urged administration.

“For this isolated Astan Mohalla, a separate pipe line and storage facility must be approved. During this Covid-19 period, locals are drinking rainwater,” they asserted.

They demanded that the district administration take immediate action to resolve our long-standing drinking water issue, as we have been wandering from post to post for the past decade for the same reason.
