DC Doda distributes 9 commercial vehicles to unemployed youth under MUMKIN Scheme

At the District Employment and Counselling Centre Akram Abad Doda, DDC Doda Vikas Sharma gave 9 commercial micro load carriers to chosen unemployed youth under the “MUMKIN” scheme.
It is important to note that MUMKIN is a Customized Livelihood Scheme for J&K Youth aged 18 to 35, which was introduced by Hon’ble LG J&K in November 2020.

ADDC Doda Mohammad Hanief Malik, GM DIC Khalid Hussain Malik, ARTO Kuldeep Kumar, AD Employment Doda Anoop Kumar, LBO VK Raina, and officials from DE&CC Doda, Mahendra, and TATA firm were present at the car distribution ceremony organised by DE&CC Doda today.

Earlier in May 2021, applications were welcomed through the JK e-Services Portal, and around 124 applications in respect of District Doda were received online. During the first round, the District Level Implimentation Committee (DLIC), chaired by DC Doda, approved 70 applications after thorough verification and scrutiny. Three commercial cars have already been delivered to DLIC-approved beneficiaries in the last month.

The Scheme’s goal is to help young people begin a long-term career in the transportation industry by providing financial support for the acquisition of small commercial vehicles.

Banking Partners participate in the scheme by extending loan facilities up to 100% of the vehicle’s on-road price. The upfront subsidy provided by Mission Youth, J&K is Rs 80,000 or 10% of the vehicle’s on-road pricing (whichever is less).

The car manufacturer (Government Scheme Partner) additionally offers an upfront special discount that is not less than the subsidy amount.

DC Doda greeted the recipients and wished them success in their chosen livelihood in the transportation sector on the occasion.
