On Friday, noted Islamic scholar Mufti Ismail Menk, who was in Kashmir for a two-day visit, performed the Nikah of Mohammad Dilwar Mir, the son of former minister and senior Apni party leader Mohammad Dilwar Mir.
According to reports, he travelled to the Valley to attend the wedding of Kashmiri businessman Feroz Peerzada’s daughter.
According to sources who spoke to Kashmir News Service (KNS), his private visit was to perform the Nikah of Yawar Dilawar Mir, the son of Mohammad Dilawar Mir.
As per reports, Mufti Menk performed the couple’s Nikah and also preached on the occasion.
Mufti Menk, who has a huge social media following of over 3.4 million followers, announced on Thursday that he was visiting Kashmir via his Instagram handle.
