Democratic lawmakers propose ban on legacy admissions to colleges with federal student aid

Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Oregon) and Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-New York) are presenting legislation on Wednesday that would prohibit colleges participating in federal student aid programmes from accepting students based on family relationships.
