A man was arrested by Jammu and Kashmir police in the Thathri area of Doda district on Sunday.
In a statement issued to The Chenab Times, police said that today during routine Naka checking at Phagsoo Morh Thathri, a police party led by Insp Amrit Katoch, SHO Police Station Thathri, apprehended one person, namely Matloob Ahmed S/O Fazal Din R/O Phagsoo, and recovered 160 grams of Charas (narcotic substance) from his possession.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 28/2022, U/S 8/20 NDPS Act, is registered at PS Thathri and an investigation has been taken up.
“The arrest of the accused and recovery of narcotic substances was made under the supervision of Sh. Raj Kumar, SP Operations Doda,” the statement reads.
Doda Police once again appealed to the general public of District Doda to cooperate with the police by way of sharing inputs related to drug peddling so that culprits are brought to book.
