Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Doda Police has arrested a drug peddler in Thathri Town and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
Police said that during the routine checking at Police Naka Kalnai Bridge Thathri, Police Party of of Police Station Thathri under the supervision of Insp Amrit Katoch SHO PS Thathri apprehended one person namely Sohrab wani S/O Mohd Ashraf wani R/O Tanta Tehsil Kahara and recovered 90 grams of Narcotic Substance (CHARAS) from his possession, which he was carrying illegally for selling to the youth of Thathri Town.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 40/2022, U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Thathri and investigation has been initiated.
Doda Police once again requested the general public to come forward with any information regarding drug Peddlers in their neighbourhood and assured that any one found indulged in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Police said that our consistent actions against drug peddler should reassure the public that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
