Israeli police detained the Palestinian Authority’s al-Quds (Jerusalem) governor, Adnan Ghaith, at his home in occupied East Jerusalem on Tuesday, and after holding him for several hours, handed him an order renewing an earlier six-month ban on entering the West Bank before releasing him, according to WAFA news agency.
Ghaith will be unable to communicate with Palestinian officials as a result of the restriction.
For the past three years, Ghaith has been barred from entering the West Bank and has been held 28 times.
