Security forces today detected and defused a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on Doda-Ghat road on the outskirts of Doda town.
As per information reached The Chenab Times, a patrol party of security forces detected the IED and called Dog Squad followed by the Bomb Disposal Squad.
The IED was taken to safer area and defused.
A major tragedy has been averted with timely detection of the IED, police said.
SSP Doda said that police in on high alert and an investigation into this matter has started.
