The gang members responsible for the murder of the singer Sidhu Moose Wala engaged in gunfight with the Punjab Police on Wednesday morning in Amritsar. In Hoshiar Nagar village, close to the Attari border, there was a gun fight that killed a total of four gangsters in all.
According to police, two of these thugs, Manpreet Singh alias Mannu Kusa and Jagroop Singh Roopa, killed Moose Wala and have been on the run ever since. They may be seen riding bikes together on June 21 at Samalsar in the Moga district, according to a recently released CCTV video.
The location where the suspects were hiding was the source of gunshots. The village was heavily policed, the area was sealed off, and the people were advised to remain inside. A private media channel’s Sikander Mattu, a video journalist, was wounded by gangsters’ gunfire.
After the gunfight, ADGP Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Pramod Ban spoke to the media and declared that the operation had been successful since both Mannu and Roopa, who had killed Moose Wala, had been killed. “In the encounter, two sharpshooters connected to the murder of Moose Wala were killed. A pistol, an AK-47, and a lot of heavy ammo were also found by police there. Additionally, three police officers have suffered minor wounds, he added.
A day after the state government reduced Moose Wala’s security cover, he was shot and killed on May 29 in Punjab’s Mansa district. The attack also hurt Moose Wala’s cousin and a buddy who were riding in a Mahindra Thar jeep with him. Vijay Singla, the head of the AAP, defeated Moosewala, 28, who ran for the Mansa in the most recent assembly election on a Congress ticket.
Canada-based Goldy Brar had claimed responsibility for the murder of Moose Wala.
