District Development Commissioner of Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda, Vikas Sharma today called a meeting of Senior key functionaries of various executing departments to review their performance under District Capex regular component as well as under Area Development Plan.
During the meeting the DDC enquired about the updated status in detail with regard to tendering of works, works alloted, estimation of approved works, started of works on ground, status of billing, and progress on non construction works.
The DDC directed all the concerned controlling as well executing agencies to pace up the completion of all ongoing works. Besides, asked them to book expenditure against all the completed works immediately.
Further the DDC directed them to pull up their field staff and mobolise them accordingly so that all the bills pending shall be framed as well as the expenditure is booked accordingly and same shall be submitted to treasuries immediately for expenditure on priority basis.
While reviewing the progress of works under UT component entrusted to PWD, the DDC directed them to revisit all the estimates so that they shall be framed rationally as per the plan provision. Besides, ACD and SEs are directed to take strict action against the erring official impending the estimation and billing process.
With regard to the status of Non construction works approved under District Capex under different heads, the DDC directed the concerned to expedite the process and conclude it within a week so that all the required material is received and accordingly timely installed in all the respective areas.
The meeting was attended by SE PWD, SE Hydraulics, CPO Doda, ACD Doda, Ex En REW, AD Planning DC office, and other concerned officials.
