Tesla CEO Elon Musk says he is buying Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United

Elon Musk today revealed that he is buying the English football club Manchester United following his failed Twitter bid, which has put the Tesla CEO in a protracted legal battle.

“To be clear, I support the left half of the Republican Party and the right half of the Democratic Party,” he tweeted. And shortly after this tweet, he said, “Also, I’m buying Manchester United ur welcome.”

Although it’s impossible to tell how serious Musk is when it comes to his tweets, Manchester United is buzzing about the possibility of this news.

Due to the club’s subpar recent results, Manchester United fans have been clamouring for the Glazer family, the club’s current American owners, to be replaced.

Recent tweet from Musk has received a significant amount of response.

Manchester United is one of the world’s best supported football clubs. They have a record of 20 times as English champions and three times as winners of the European Cup, the top club competition in the world of soccer.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the team’s top striker, and the team is controlled by the American Glazer family, who did not immediately respond to a request for comment. As of Tuesday’s stock market close, the football team had a $2.08 billion market value.

Due to the team’s struggles on the pitch, Manchester United fans have recently protested against the Glazers, who bought the club for 790 million pounds ($955.51 million) in 2005. After United participated in an unsuccessful attempt to establish a breakaway European Super League last year, the anti-Glazer movement gathered steam.

Some fans have urged Musk to buy Manchester United rather than Twitter. Musk is attempting to back out of a $44 billion deal to acquire the social media giant, which has led to legal action against him.

One of the Twitter users asked, “Do you really think he’s gunna buy? Or just talking rubbish.”

Another user made fun of Musk and alluded to the deal that fell through while referencing the legal dispute the Tesla CEO was having over Twitter.

“You don’t want it man, trust me This man singed a deal to buy Twitter for USD 44 billion without doing any due dilligence then realized it was a bad deal. Backed out, and is being sued,” the user said.

Twitter and Elon Musk are engaged in a legal dispute over a rejected takeover proposal that Twitter now wants to get through.

Following Musk’s unsuccessful attempt to back out of his deal to buy Twitter due to what he claims is a misrepresentation of fake accounts on the platform, the microblogging website and the world’s richest man are now proceeding to trial.

Twitter is attempting to pressure Musk into carrying out the agreement while claiming that he sabotaged it since it no longer suited his interests.
