5 former MLAs including GM Saroori resign from Congress in support of Azad

In a major setback to Congress in Jammu & Kashmir, four of its former legislators resigned from the party.

In a joint resignation letter, a copy of which is in possession of news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), GM Saroori, Choudhary Muhammad Akram, Muhammad Amin Bhat, Gulzar Ahmad and Abdur Rashid Dar have resigned from the party in support of Ghulam Nabi Azad.

Interestingly, Rashid had already resigned from the party.
