In a new circular, all heads of institutions or offices are directed by deputy commissioner Doda to ensure that no light, fan, or air conditioner remains on after the office is closed.
The circular was tweeted by District Administration Doda, who wrote, “Doda Admin issued a circular for all HOIs to make judicious use of the amenities in all govt offices, warns for recovery from their salaries in case of wasteful expenditure of power.”
The circular—a copy of which lies with The Chenab Times—directed all heads of offices or institutions that they have to ensure that no lights, fans, or AC remain on after closing office.
“If any office any office is found to be indulging in wasteful expenditure of Power then the amount which is to be paid as Power tariff shall be recovered from the salary of the head of the Institution / office,” the circular reads.
