In another development, Jammu and Kashmir police in Doda district have arrested two notorious drug peddlers under operation Sanjeevani in Bhaderwah town, according to a statement issued on Friday.
According to a statement issued to The Chenab Times, a police party from Police Station Bhaderwah led by PSI Avinash Khajuria while on Naka duty at Domail Bhaderwah observed the suspicious movement of two pedestrians coming from Doda towards Bhaderwah. On seeing the police party, they tried to flee from the spot. But the police party acted swiftly, apprehended them, and during checking/frisking, a heroin-like substance along with cash of Rs. 19,000 was recovered from their possession.
The accused persons revealed their names as Adil Hussain, son of Tariq Hussain, resident of Chinote, Bhaderwah and Majid Mukhtyar, son of Mukhtyar Ahmed, resident of Chakka Bhaderwah.
In this connection, case FIR No.150/2022 U/S 8/21 NDPS act has been registered at PS Bhaderwah and investigation of the case has been started.
