A man from Dandi Bhaderwah has been arrested by Jammu and Kashmir Police in Doda District and is accused of stealing six motorbikes.
In a statement issued to The Chenab Times, police said that they have succeeded in cracking cases of bike thefts from different areas of Jammu and Kashmir and arrested one accused, namely Shadab Mir, son of Abdul Qayoom Mir, resident of Dandi Bhaderwah, who has been arrested in case FIR no.209/22 U/S 379 IPC.
Police further said that, on the basis of his disclosure, police teams have so far managed to recover six motorbikes worth lakhs of rupees.
It is pertinent to mention here that for the last one month, Doda police received complaints regarding bike theft and, accordingly, a team from Police Station Doda was swung into action that collected vital clues through technical as well as human intelligence and finally managed to apprehend the said accused from the Bhaderwah area and crack the case of bike theft.
It was also learnt during the investigation that the accused used to steal motor bikes during the wee hours of the morning and used his INNOVA car for transportation of stolen bikes.
It is also pertinent to mention here that the accused is highly qualified (B. Tech. Mechanical) and a shopkeeper by profession.
