Principal Secretary Skill Development Department Dr Asgar Samoon today visited Government Polytechnic College Doda and ITI Doda and held interactions with students, faculty, and trainees here.
Dr. Samoon extensively inspected the college premises. He was accompanied by District Development Commissioner Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan, Mr. Sudershan Kumar, Director Skill Development Department J&K, Senior Superintendent of Police Abdul Qayoom, Financial Advisor Yasir Rather, and other district officers of various departments.
Dr. Samoon also inaugurated different buildings and workshops at government polytechnics and ITIs. He inaugurated the academic block at Government Polytechnic College Beoli Doda and the administrative block at ITI Doda. Certificates were also distributed among students by the principal secretary.
Dr. Samoon appreciated Superintendent ITI Doda for the satisfactory functioning and development of the institute. Dr. Samoon, while interacting with trainees, was quite happy and wished them all the best of luck in their future endeavours.
He also assured the provision of buses for the transportation of trainees from different areas.
Dr. Samoon stressed the importance of imparting quality training and the need for self-employment, which would eventually make the young population self-reliant and able to earn their own livelihood.
