Government of UT of Jammu & Kashmir has top priority to provide various services to the citizens at their door steps. The recently concluded Back to Village — 4 (B2V4), and second phase of My Town My Pride (MTMP) were chiefly organized to reach out to the public by saturating various schemes being implemented by the Government.
Further, as per the directions of higher authorities, almost all the revenue services are being provided in online mode. Besides, to ensure timely disposal, all the revenue services have been included under the Public Services Gaurantee Act with the prescribed timeline within which the issuing authority is bound to-act. The public has to be made aware of various initiatives of the
Government like Apki Zameen Apki Nigrani, Land passbooks distribution, Jhan-Bhagidari, SVAMITVA and other programmes.
Revenue Administration Doda in order to reach out to the people at their doorsteps by way of providing all kinds of revenue services, has launched a special initiative/programme “Apkay Gaon Main Aaap Ka Tehsildar”.
The initiative as per the order issued reads that, every Saturday of the week is notified as the Visiting day for Tehsildar to a Village. On the said designated day the public of the said village shall be intimated at least five days prior to the visit, so that the service seekers may apply in advance. The Tehsildars shall ensure presence of concerned VLEs/CSCs prior to the Visiting Day (Saturday) for providing help to the citizens in applying for various reven e-services.
The Tehsildars shall issue monthly calendar of villages to be visited on every Saturday, which shall be publicized through electronic/ print and social media so that maximum citizens get informed and may be able to avail the benefit of efficient and timely service delivery. Special camps for attestation of mutations, pending demarcations, petty revenue court cases and any other miscellaneous revenue matters shall be resolved/dealt on the spot. All the Sub Divisional heads shall supervise and monitor the said programme and submit the report of each Teshildars to the Deputy Commissioner’s office not later by every Monday.
