At least six vehicles have been seized by authorities under the Mining Act in the Thathri area of Doda district.
According to a statement issued to The Chenab Times, while acting tough against illegal mining in Sub-Division Thathri on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan, a joint team of Tehsildar Thathri Sahil Randhawa, DMO Doda Sunil Manhas, and SHO Thathri Sh Amrit Katoch seized six vehicles involved in illegal mining last evening.
“The vehicles have been booked under the Mining Act.” “A clear message was passed that persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt with as per law,” the statement reads.
