In Islam, Jesus PBUH (also known as Jesus Christ or Isa in Arabic) is considered to be a messenger of God, one of the greatest prophets to have ever lived. Muslims believe that Jesus PBUH was born to the virgin Mary, and that he performed miracles and preached the word of God.
According to Islamic tradition, Jesus PBUH was given the task of spreading the message of monotheism to the Children of Israel, who had strayed from the true path and were worshipping false gods. He called upon people to repent and return to the worship of the one true God, and to follow the teachings of the prophets who had come before him.
Jesus PBUH is also believed to have been given the ability to perform miracles, including healing the sick and reviving the dead. These miracles were seen as a sign of God’s power and a confirmation of Jesus’ role as a prophet.
Despite his great teachings and miracles, Jesus PBUH was not believed to be the son of God or the savior of humanity in Islam. According to Islamic belief, Jesus was a human being, just like all other prophets, and was not divine. Muslims believe that Jesus PBUH was not crucified, but was raised up to heaven by God and will return to earth on the day of judgment.
In Islam, Jesus PBUH is revered as one of the greatest prophets, and his message is seen as a continuation of the message of the prophets who came before him. Muslims believe that Jesus preached the same message of monotheism and submission to the will of God that was taught by the prophets of the past, and that he played a vital role in guiding people to the right path.
