JKPSC announces CCE-2021 (JKAS) results

The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has declared the results of the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2021 for the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) and has announced the deployment of candidates for medical examination. According to a notification dated January 19, 2023, obtained by The Chenab Times, the commission revealed that 187 posts were referred to the JKPSC by the General Administration Department to be filled through the CCE.

The posts were advertised by the commission in February 2021 and the preliminary examination was conducted on October 24, 2021, in which 20,790 candidates appeared. As per the criteria fixed by the commission, a total of 4,462 candidates were declared to have qualified for the mains examination, which was conducted from April 8 to 18, 2022, at both Jammu and Srinagar.

Based on the criteria fixed by the commission in accordance with the rules under SRO 103 of 2018, 648 candidates were declared to have qualified for interview, and their results were confirmed by the commission on November 23, 2022. The personality test (interview) was conducted from December 5, 2022, to January 19, 2023, at the JKPSC office in Jammu.

In its extraordinary meeting held on January 19, 2023, the commission decided to declare the result of all the candidates who had appeared in the interview and also notify their aggregate marks. The commission also announced that 187 candidates, as per Annexure-II of the notification, and other rules on the subject, have qualified for medical examination and are directed to report to the respective medical boards in GMC Jammu and Srinagar for the conduct of their medical examination as per proforma, in accordance with rules on the subject.

It is important to note that the candidates recommended for medical examination will have to pay a fee before the medical check-up, and that mere calling a candidate for medical examination shall not confer any right on him/her to be recommended for selection. Detailed marks cards will be available on the website of the commission after completion of the examination process and after forwarding the select list to the government for making appointments. The lists notified as Annexure-I & II to this notification are provisional and subject to the outcome of any writ petitions pending before any competent court of jurisdiction.
