The National Conference vice president and former chief minister, Omar Abdullah, participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi on Friday in the Banihal region of Ramban district. According to reports, Omar Abdullah joined the yatra at Banihal, and several leaders of the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) are currently waiting in Qazigund to join the yatra as well.
According to reports, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, the former president of JKPCC, and Raman Bhalla, the former vice president, are among the leaders who have joined the Yatra in Qazigund.
The yatra would enter Kashmir today after it resumed from Banihal this morning and would pass through Vessu area of Anantnag.
