The sports community of North Kashmir is mourning the loss of a prominent athlete and general secretary of Wushu Association, Jabeena Akhter. She passed away on Friday at a hospital in Srinagar after a prolonged illness.
Jabeena was known for her exceptional skills in Wushu, a Chinese martial art that she excelled in and promoted in the region. She was also an active member of the Wushu Association in North Kashmir and played a significant role in organizing tournaments and promoting the sport among young athletes.
Jabeena’s family members shared that she was undergoing treatment at JVC Bemina for several months and had been battling a chronic lung disease. Her passing has left a void in the sports community of the region, and people from all walks of life have expressed their condolences.
Her demise has been deeply felt by her family, friends, and fellow athletes. Many have taken to social media to express their grief and pay tribute to her dedication and contribution to the world of sports.
