A suspicious hole observed on a window pane after fire like sound observed at the residential house of an ex-serviceman in Thathri town of Doda district Sunday morning.
The house owner, who is retired from army about three years ago and wished not to be named, told The Chenab Times that a “bullet-like” sound appeared outside my house this morning at around 9:00 am when he was in his room. The suspicious object made a hole in the 8-mm window pane.
“I heard the sound of similar to the gun fire when I was on the door of my room, and then I observed that something hit my room’s window pane so hard, which made a hole similarly like a bullet can make, while some shards of glass reached 13 to 14 feet inside my room from the window,” the ex-serviceman claimed.
“My son was in the room, and he escaped unharmed,” he added.
Meanwhile, police said that they are investigating the matter and however, in the initial investigation no suspicious object found at the spot. Investigation is still going on.
The incident has triggered panic in the family that fears safety concerns. The ex-serviceman urged authorities to investigate the matter and ensure safety of his family.
