In a significant move, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir has apportioned 1221 employees between the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. The decision has been taken based on the recommendations of the Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh and under Section 89 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019.
The apportionment of employees has been made subject to certain conditions. The General Administration Department of the Union Territory of Ladakh will carry out further verification of the initial appointment orders and service records of these employees. In case of any deficiency discovered subsequently, the apportionment of the employee(s) to that extent will be deemed to have been withdrawn ab-initio.
The details and credentials of the employees apportioned to the Union Territory of Ladakh will be rectified only after considering the original and verified service records by the concerned controlling authorities with the approval of the competent authority.
It has been made clear that the employees who have been apportioned to the Union Territory of Ladakh and are presently continuing their service in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will be relieved by the concerned administrative departments immediately.
