An elderly man lost his life in a tragic hit-and-run accident in the Damhal Hanjippra area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday. The incident, which occurred near DK Marg, involved an unknown vehicle that fled the scene after the collision.
The victim has been identified as Lal-Ud-Din Khan, a 70-year-old resident of Reasi. He sustained critical injuries as a result of the accident and was immediately rushed to the district hospital in Kulgam for medical treatment. Due to the severity of his condition, he was subsequently transferred to SKIMS Soura. Unfortunately, Khan succumbed to his injuries while en route to the hospital.
Local authorities have taken cognizance of the incident, and the police are actively investigating the hit-and-run case. Further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the accident have not been provided at this time.
