A 25-year-old shepherd, identified as Mohammad Javed, was injured in a mine blast along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch district on Thursday. The incident occurred at approximately 1600 hours while Javed was grazing his goats in a forest area beyond the fence along the LoC near his native village, Mohala Saki Wala Qasba. Javed was immediately rushed to receive medical treatment.
Confirming the incident, a police official informed GNS (Global News Service) about the injuries sustained by the young shepherd. The details of the explosion and the nature of the injuries were not disclosed at this time.
Authorities have yet to provide any further information regarding the circumstances surrounding the mine blast. It is unclear at this stage who is responsible for laying the mine or whether it was an accidental explosion. Security forces are expected to launch an investigation into the incident to ascertain the facts and gather relevant evidence.
