One Died, Another Injured After Falling From Three-Storey Building in Doda’s Kahara

In a devastating incident that unfolded today at approximately 13:30 hrs, two laborers were involved in a serious accident while working on the rooftop of a residence in Batogra village in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. The unfortunate event claimed the life of one worker and left another severely injured.

The deceased laborer has been identified as Abdul Hameed Wani, son of Abdul Subhan Wani, hailing from the village of Bitola in Tehsil Kahara. The second laborer, Mudassir Ahmed, son of Hussain Paray, resides in Batogra. Both individuals were diligently performing their duties on the roof of Mr. Abdul Kabir Paray’s residence when the incident occurred.

Eyewitnesses reported that while engaged in their work, Abdul Hameed Wani and Mudassir Ahmed accidentally fell from the rooftop, suffering severe injuries upon impact. Immediate measures were taken to provide them with emergency medical assistance. The injured laborers were promptly rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) Thathri for treatment.

Tragically, Abdul Hameed Wani succumbed to his injuries before reaching the CHC Thathri. Despite the best efforts of the medical staff, his injuries proved fatal. The news of his untimely demise has sent shockwaves through the locals, leaving friends and family grieving the loss of a hardworking and dedicated individual.

On the other hand, Mudassir Ahmed’s condition remains critical. Given the seriousness of his injuries, he has been referred to the Government Medical College (GMC) in Doda for specialized medical attention. Medical professionals are working diligently to stabilize his condition and provide the necessary care to aid in his recovery.
