In a significant operation aimed at curbing the drug trade, the Doda Police have arrested two notorious drug peddlers and seized a substantial quantity of heroin in Bhaderwah. The successful operation was carried out by a police party from Police Station Bhaderwah during routine checking and frisking duties at Naka Point Domail Bhaderwah.
The arrested drug peddlers have been identified as Mohammad Sohail, also known as Sohail Ganja, son of Mohammad Aslam, a resident of Sarafa Mohalla Bhaderwah, and Arsan Malik, son of Late Imtiyaz Malik, a resident of Qilla Mohalla Bhaderwah. Upon searching the suspects, the police discovered a significant amount of narcotic substance, specifically heroin, in their possession.
Additionally, the law enforcement authorities have seized a motorcycle bearing registration number JK06-B 0196, which was allegedly used by Arsan Malik for transporting the narcotics.
Following the operation, a case has been registered at Police Station Bhaderwah under the relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The investigation into the matter has been initiated, with the aim of uncovering any potential links and networks associated with the drug trade.
It is worth noting that Mohammad Sohail, popularly known as Sohail Ganja, is a notorious drug peddler who had long been on the radar of the Bhaderwah Police. The successful apprehension of Sohail Ganja marks a significant breakthrough for the police force in their ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crimes, according to police.
