In a successful counter-operation, the Indian Army, in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Police, thwarted an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch sector. Two infiltrators were neutralized during the operation named “Bahadur,” which commenced during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.
As per reports, Lt Col Suneel Bartwal, the defence spokesperson in Jammu, confirmed the development, stating that the Indian Army acted swiftly upon detecting the infiltration attempt. The joint operation was initiated to eliminate the infiltrators and secure the area.
“Operation Bahadur was launched in response to the infiltration attempt on the LoC in the Poonch sector area,” Lt Col Bartwal stated in a press release. “During the operation, two infiltrators were successfully neutralized by our forces. The search operations are currently underway to ensure the safety of the region.”
The exact details of the encounter, including the identity and affiliation of the infiltrators, have not been disclosed at this time. The security forces are actively conducting search operations in the area to ensure the complete eradication of any potential threat.
