In a significant development in the ongoing fight against drug peddling, the Doda Police has successfully apprehended a notorious drug peddler from Doda town. The arrest was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the police force, who received specific information from reliable sources.
The accused, identified as Sajjad Ahmed Bhat, son of Ghulam Qadir Bhat and a resident of Wanda Beoli in Doda town, was taken into custody by a police party led by PSI Aman Sharma. Acting on the tip-off, the team conducted a swift operation that resulted in the recovery of a significant quantity of charas (cannabis) from the possession of the suspect.
Following the arrest, a case has been registered against Sajjad Ahmed Bhat under the relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Police Station Doda. The investigation into the case is underway, and the police are determined to pursue all leads to ensure justice is served.
