Respected Pakistan based Islamic scholar and YouTube personality, Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza, narrowly escaped a fourth assassination attempt on Tuesday, as a security guard at his Research Academy in Jhelum thwarted a potentially dangerous situation. The incident involved a man named Ali Hassan, hailing from Pakistan’s Gujrat, who was apprehended by vigilant guards before he could harm the cleric.
Ali Hassan had concealed a sharp-edged weapon beneath his clothing and attempted to forcefully enter the Research Academy’s building, where Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza was present at the time. Fortunately, due to the swift response of the security personnel, Mirza remained unharmed. The suspect later confessed his intention to assassinate the religious scholar, shedding light on the gravity of the situation.
The local police swiftly took action, registering a case at the City Police Station and launching a thorough investigation into the matter. The motive behind the attempted attack remains under scrutiny as law enforcement authorities gather evidence and piece together the assailant’s background and possible affiliations.
