In a significant achievement for Indian taekwondo, two young athletes from the Kashmir valley, Danish Manzoor and Hashim Majeed, are poised to represent India at the highly anticipated World Taekwondo Octagon Diamond G4 Ranking Championship, as per The Chenab Times sources. The prestigious event, officially named the Gangwon Chuncheon 2023 World Taekwondo Octagon Diamond Game, is set to take place in Chuncheon, South Korea, from August 15th to 20th. Organized by the Gangwon • Chuncheon World Taekwondo Cultural Festival committee under the auspices of World Taekwondo, this championship holds a vital place as an official Olympic ranking event.

Hailing from the breathtaking landscapes of Kashmir, Danish Manzoor and Hashim Majeed have been rigorously preparing for this opportunity under the tutelage of Master Atul Pangotra, who serves as their coach at the JKSC. The two athletes, with a shared passion for taekwondo, have not only showcased their skills on national platforms but also competed at international events such as the Israel Open G2 ranking event.

The participation of these talented athletes has been made possible through the support of esteemed sponsors, Le Delice (Cafe) and MSM Pvt. Limited. Their backing has enabled Danish Manzoor and Hashim Majeed to pursue their dreams on a global stage and represent their country with pride and determination.

The World Taekwondo Octagon Diamond Games, set to be one of the four premier events of the Gangwon-Chuncheon World Taekwondo Cultural Festival 2023, promises to be a captivating showcase of athletic excellence and cultural celebration. The inaugural festival, scheduled from August 18th to 24th, is expected to attract around 15,000 athletes, officials, and tourists from approximately 60 nations. The festival will encompass a range of events, including the World Taekwondo Octagon Diamond Game, the 4th World Taekwondo Beach Games, the 1st World Taekwondo Demonstration Team Championships, and the World Para Taekwondo Open Challenge.

As the anticipation builds for this monumental event, all eyes are on Danish Manzoor and Hashim Majeed, the two exceptional Kashmiri taekwondo talents, as they gear up to showcase their skills and spirit on the international stage at the World Taekwondo Octagon Diamond G4 Ranking Championship in Chuncheon, South Korea.
